About the role
Radio Times is seeking a Gaming Content Creator to create engaging and informative digital content about video games to help expand our thriving Gaming channels across YouTube, social media and RT-owned platforms.
This role is perfect for a passionate gamer with a flair for creating content and storytelling, eager to share their expertise and insights with a broad audience.
You'll love this role if:
- You're a passionate gamer - You live and breathe video games, staying updated on the latest releases, trends, and industry developments. Whether it's diving into epic RPGs, competing in fast-paced esports, or exploring indie gems, you love sharing your gaming experiences with others.
- You're a natural storyteller - From crafting in-depth game reviews to breaking down complex industry trends, you have a knack for creating engaging, informative, and relatable content that resonates with gamers and newcomers alike.
- You're video-savvy - You're excited about a video-first approach to content creation, comfortable presenting on camera, and skilled at translating visual stories into written pieces and other formats.
- You thrive on variety - One day you'll be reporting on the hottest new game releases, and the next you'll be conducting interviews with developers or attending a gaming expo. You embrace the unpredictable, fast-paced nature of the gaming industry.
- You love community – Whether you’re posting on your personal channels or the official RT accounts, you’re keen to engage authentically with the world of gaming because you love being part of that community.
- You're a creative thinker - You enjoy finding fresh ways to engage with the gaming community, whether through captivating videos, snappy social media posts, or written content for our website, magazine and app.
- You're audience-focused - You understand the importance of connecting with your audience, analysing data to identify what readers want, and tailoring content to grow and engage the Radio Times Gaming community.
- You’re collaborative by nature – You enjoy working with a talented team, bouncing ideas off others, and contributing to shared goals. Whether it’s brainstorming new formats or refining strategies, you thrive in a collaborative environment.
