Winners of the inaugural RadioTimes.com Soap Awards Announced

Saturday 13 July 2024 

The stars of Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and EastEnders celebrated at a star-studded ceremony, hosted by Brian Conley, at The Midland Hotel in Manchester tonight (Saturday 13 July), as soaps’ finest performances, talent and memorable moments were recognised by expert judges and the public vote in the inaugural RadioTimes.com Soap Awards sponsored by Inspired Villages. 

The winners of the RadioTimes.com Soap Awards 2024 are: 

  • Best Young Performer – Voted for by a panel of soap experts
    Charlie Wrenshall (Liam Connor), Coronation Street  
  • Best Exit – Voted by the public
    Danny Walters (Keanu Taylor), EastEnders 
  • Best Newcomer – Voted for by a panel of soap experts
    Iz Hesketh (Kitty Draper), Hollyoaks
     
  • Best Comedy Performance – Voted by the public
    Lisa Riley (Mandy Dingle), Emmerdale 
  • Best Twist – Voted for by a panel of soap experts
    Mercedes’s twins have different dads, Hollyoaks 
  • Inspiring Storyline of the Year, sponsored by Inspired Villages – Voted by the public
    Suki comes out to her family, EastEnders
  • Best Episode – Voted for by a panel of soap experts
    George confronts Eddie, EastEnders 
  • Best Villain – Voted by the public
    Navin Chowdhry (Nish Panesar), EastEnders
  • Soap Moment of the Year – Voted by the public
